Using symmetrical modeling techiniqu , I focus on modeling one side of the plant first.
Then mirroring it to complete the other side. |
  |
Keeping the model simple is very essential as I am planning for mass duplication and I dont want to crash the system. |
Paying attention to detail, was part fo the challenge as well.
The stem of the palmetto plant has a kind of bumb on it, hence I
have to go in and deliberately create it. |

|
Combining the plant into one mesh,
I UV unwrap the plant. as I am planning to use texture maps instead of prodedural shaders.
Using a Blender Node as shown in my hypershade screen shot.
I blend my 2d texture with a colour ramp which will result to some nice soft green colour gradient to my plant. |

The Palmetto base was model seperately for easy management,
as i did not want to confuss myself with the leaves

Step 2 - Place the box at the desired position. Be Accurate!
Step 4 - Then shifting and scaling plant whithin the box.
